…but if you’ve had a headshot session and weren’t happy with the outcome, odds are you didn’t tell the photographer. You moved on. The photographer didn’t experience the discomfort of negative feedback — or its potential benefits, missing a chance to improve his/her/their game — but got to keep your money.
EMERGING ACTORS…
…often can’t afford to pay top dollar for headshot sessions. Yet money spent for something not good is money wasted. And a mediocre headshot may suggest to casting directors that an actor has little experience or may not be “in the game”.
NO HEADSHOT…
… not even a great headshot, is going to get you a job. Its purpose is to persuade casting people to have you come in. Think of the headshot as a passport to the audition.
